An opening batsman, Marlon Vonhagt made his debut in Sri Lanka’s one-day side in Australia when aged 19 in 1984-85, picked for the side on the strength of a good tour of England in 1984. But appearances thereafter were limited – he all but stopped playing after 1986, returning for three matches for Moors Sports Club in 1988-89 with some success.
