Touring South Africa beat Sri Lanka Board XI by 63 runs in their 50-over tour match held yesterday at P. Sara Oval, Colombo. South African skipper Faf de Plessis scored 71 in 60 balls, with 10 fours and a six, and Reeza Hendricks and Willem Mulder scored fifties as the Proteas, after winning the toss, made 293 all out in 49.4 overs.
Sri Lanka, led by Dhananjaya de Silva, were bowled out for 230 in 44.1 overs. In-form bat Dimuth Karunaratne made 50 in 57 balls, with five fours, and middle-order bat Isuru Udana scored 53 in 52 balls with five fours and three sixes.
