    Any one who wishes for the ‘Pirith Noola’ can have it. Buddhism does not make a distinction. So, a picture of a Buddhist priest tying a the thread on Vasbert Drakes hand does not make him a Buddhist. There are no rituals or the like in Buddhism to become a Buddhist. You simply live by the word Buddha espoused.
