Sri Lankan Squad heads for New Zealand: Several Reports

ONE: Rohit Pawar, in Cricket Age, 4 December 2018

Sri Lanka National team, led by Dinesh Chandimal, left for New Zealand on Monday. The team will play two Tests, three ODIs and a one off T-20I. However, head coach Chandika Hathurasingha had fled to Australia on Sunday itself. According to sources, SLC CEO Ashley De Silva approved his Australia visit and he will join the rest of the squad in Auckland.

The first test to begin on 15th December at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, while the second test will commence on 26th December at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch.

A NOTE: please reflect on the malicious reportage via a reference to Hathrusinghe’s act of “fleeing to Australia” ahead of the team. Chandiak Hathurusinghe coached in Sydney for several yeras after he was pushed out of the SL cricket scene by DS de Silva. I suspect his family is residing there. A coach has home duties and family responsibilities. PAWAR is relying on feader ignorance to cast a malicous flavour into his reportage. This seems to be a consistent line in CRICKET AGE.
